 The context of educational development in Oman has been through remarkable changes in the course of the two past decades with an emphasis on entry to education, quality and relevance. Primary and higher education have also been areas of the government’s huge investment with a propeller towards Greater Education for All. Oman's education system involves the government system of education and also the private system of education the country presents a broad list of academic programs. It also concentrates on the vocational training needs of the students and offers technical education in today’s workplace. Gradual changes in the country indicate that Oman is incorporating technological advancements such as artificial intelligence to improve learner experiences and prepare learners for the global challenges in the 21st century.

Challenges and limitations of Educational Technology

 The first problem I encountered while learning and applying educational technology was the variety of resources and platforms. At times, it became quite challenging to determine, which ones would be most suitable for my learning methods employed. Moreover, there were some technical problems that I faced throughout my learning process, including connectivity problems and incompatibility of different software. What is more, the use of new tools was time-consuming as I had to get used to different options and interfaces. Also, the last of the critical challenges was dealing with interferences when employing digital resources aimed at learning because it is sometimes difficult to stay focused on the program and not switch to either some other application or, at least, check the news on social media.
